The New York State Blues Festival is excited to announce the return of our Blues Ignition Band!

After a two year hiatus, the Blues Ignition Band will be kicking off the Saturday lineup at the 30th anniversary celebration of the New York State Blues Festival, happening June 16-18 at Chevy Court inside the New York State Fairgrounds.

The Blues Ignition Band is an integral component of our Youth Development program, giving young musicians a chance to perform as a group together on stage, as they learn what it’s like to play the blues.

We are pleased to announce that this year’s edition of the Blues Ignition Band will be led by JAMS coordinator, Reggie Seigler.

Joined Artists, Musicians & Singers, Inc. (JAMS) is a registered 501(c)(3), and is a collaborative of creatives based in Syracuse, NY. Its mission is to enhance the local arts scene through the offerings of diverse creative artists.” For more about JAMS, visit their website at syracusejams.com.

Reggie Seigler is also a columnist for The Stand, a local publication that covers news stories and events from Syracuse’s South Side and the former band leader for the Soft Spoken Band. We are excited to be working with Reggie in this brand new cultural partnership, which will help to expand our Youth Development program.

Look for the Blues Ignition Band on the main stage at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18 at the 2022 New York State Blues Festival. Click here for the full lineup!
